Combination of techniques with MMA

Within the MMA, you will find a combination of techniques from different martial arts. You will learn
skills from combat sports such as wrestling or grappling, Judo, Kickboxing or boxing, and Jiu-Jitsu. The
possibilities within competitions are, therefore, infinite, which makes it an extremely effective martial
art. However, a real free fight, without rules, will not really occur that quickly, as this can lead to
dangerous situations. A few dangerous arts and actions are therefore prohibited during competitions,
although this may differ for every MMA association. As a practitioner of MMA, I can apply various
techniques from different disciplines – thus making this sport a challenging and exciting one.

Various variants of MMA
Sufficient variation can certainly be recognized within the established safety standards that have been
developed to exclude prohibited actions. Each variant within the MMA has its own characteristics and
rules. For example, you can participate in a free fight, the Vale Tudo, which includes the Brazilian
Mixed Martial Arts or in cage fighting. f you want to start with MMA, Thai or kickboxing is a good
starting point. Jiu-Jitsu or wrestling also offers sufficient variety of techniques to to assist with your
MMA training.

Technique options during competitions
During competitions, MMA offers a great deal of variation compared to individual combat sports. You
can introduce a variety of punch and kick techniques to these mixed martial arts, as well as elbow and
knee techniques. Even clamping and choking techniques are permitted to a certain extent. Learn

about the various techniques in my online coaching MMA training and book a lesson.
